  1. Hey there nice lady. I should write to the address but I'm laughing so hard that I can't contain myself and hope you manage to read this. I'm in the middle of a big writing project I wanted to tell you about anyway. But right now I'm thinking of you because of that old blog post about the film from what should feel like forever ago but so many fans are still beyond miffed with... LOL! I loved that blog post about it you wrote and still do! Apparently DS fans are still embarrassingly going koo-koo over the whole thing and I finally posted a rant somewhere I shan't name. But now I'm laughing riotously over. I'm just thinking of the possible Futurama show or some other scene from a sci-fi show that is set in 3010 or something with a newsflash, "Many fans STILL outraged about Tim Burton's Dark Shadows movie! Cream Pie fight to commence on the village green!" Take care. I hope you're laughing too! I have been for hours! Literally! LOL ^_^

    1. Oh, yes. I am laughing. And crying too. What a wasted opportunity. It could have been another "Pirates" with sequels, games and dolls. Just think . . .

    2. Aw laughing AND crying? Oh dear... Well, I'm *very* pleased you laughed, though! I was shaking with laughter throughout typing that entire message. I don't think I've laughed so hard since I had to perform a re-vamp of Cassandra's painting scourge while a new butler was singing a Rocky Horror Picture Show song in the lower realms of The Old House. That was tough! It's been over two years in the making but I haven't given up hope yet. My project doesn't have games and dolls, but I do have postcards now. ^_^ If you're ever in the mood for some solid entertainment with flashes of pure insight I bid you, and anyone seeing this, welcome to "The Pit of Ultimate Dark Shadows", a multi-fandom podcast to try and interrupt and work everything out. After 6 months of performances and hundreds of downloads I have been laughing but with a very silent response I've also been crying. So I know what you mean. Many go into this ordeal with text only and for fun. After thousands of dollars spent: not me. I've got a job to do: make it all work out, and no scrimping on the research and homework. I'd come to Tarrytown... but I'm kind of broke. :/ Take care. http://xoiscythe.podomatic.com/

  2. Hello Ms Parker! I was just wondering, in what city of South Carolina will you be at the end of May/Early June? And will it be an event or at Barnes and Noble?

  6. Ms Parker,

Would you ever consider coming to a event in Canada. You and Dark Shadows have so many fans here, Ontario is so lovely and I personally would love to meet you.

    1. I'd love to come to Canada! There are many places we would like to visit, and see the fans there as well. But we don't just pick up and go to a place. We go because we are invited by the people running the event and our expenses are paid. We'd love to go to New Orleans, for instance, but the people at Wizard World don't reply to our emails.

    2. Hi Lara! Would love to see you in San Diego again. Are you busy with a 411th book? That would be great. Burton movie? My opinion? When I heard I told my husband that the only way they could make it was as a comedy. I say that because it was just too hard to visualize different cast members. I met you at Mysterious Galaxy. Since Burton won't do a sexual I would love to read another book. Best of luck to you & your family and Happy Holidays.

  8. hello ms lara parker, I know this could sound strange but dark shadows fall into that category, the show impacted way beyond the US, I remember watching in central America in the version dubbed to Spanish , I am a mayan shaman at mayacron BlogSpot and believed or not your acting in dark shadows influence my life and I have discover very interesting coincidences of the show with the new mayan era, if you want to know contact me, this is not a ploy to get money from you is just an effort to communicated so you can understand the magnitude of the show and how relates to my studies on the ancient mayan philosophy , my email is mayacron9@yahoo, my name gina MIRANDA would I say more...

  9. Ms. Parker my best friend is Skylar Baxter. He's the liason with MobiCon. I'm sure he told you about me. My dad and I watched Dark Shadows religiously when I was a kid and it was in reruns on Syfy. I'm going to do whatever I can to get to the convention before Sunday but epilepsy and a brain aneurysm prevent me from driving. I'm going to try my best to get there so I can stand in awe of your magic!
